Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Chef Michael Serdula grew up in his father’s restaurant. Here, he experienced firsthand the joy of creating dishes. After his father passed, Mike moved to Alabama and stayed out of the food and beverage business until the age of 23 when he landed at The Amsterdam Café, in Auburn. Within a year’s time, he became Sous Chef. After 3 years at Amsterdam Café, Serdula had the opportunity to open a new restaurant in Montgomery, SaZa. After this experience, Serdula moved right around the corner to Mongtomery’s The Olive Room.
Today, Serdula can be found at one of the top restaurants in the country, Atlanta’s TWO urban licks. A recipient of Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”, Bon Appetit’s “Hot 50 Tables” and one of Rachael Ray’s “favorite restaurants” in the country, TWO urban licks is the ideal home base for this restaurant veteran.
