Just minutes from Emory University, Fernbank Museum of Natural History and the Carter Presidential Library, the Toco Hills store opened its doors in 1998.  It is part of the sprawling Toco Hills Shopping Center at the intersection of N. Druid Hills Road and LaVista Road in north DeKalb County.  Rumor has it that TOCO is an informal abbreviation for "top of the county."

In addition to new construction, this area of DeKalb County boasts several mid-century wooded neighborhoods.  The Toco Hills store serves the residents of northeast Atlanta, Decatur and Tucker.

I just had to comment on Joyce at Toco Hills. She worked about 3 weeks trying to track down a specific planter for me......she succeeded. She went way beyond the call of duty; that's why I continue to trade with Pike at Toco Hills.  Just wanted you to know what kind of people are working there. - Dave

I was in Atlanta this past weekend and took my Mother to your LaVista Rd. location. (she is recuperating from surgery very near there with my sister) Over the past 30 years she has received many, many, plants that originated from Pike's and even had, and wore, a "Play in the dirt" sweatshirt for years but, she had never been there. I wanted to send you and everyone at Pike's a note to say a heartfelt "Thank you!"

This was her first "non-medical" outing since last October. She is someone who has always lived her life to garden so Pike's was the perfect place for her to begin, what we hope will be, a more "regular" life. The shopping was kind of slow and go for her and your employees were very kind, patient and helpful to the "little old lady" who was very slow with her walker. We got a cart full of "Thrillers, fillers and spillers" and went home. I got her situated in her wheel chair on the deck with spade in hand, potting soil at her feet and the young plants and empty pots that needed filling. She made the most beautiful color bowls and had a completely fun and enjoyable day for the first time in 6 months!

Words can't really express how nice it was to see her so happy! So again, thank you, and please say thank you to all the Pike employees, for creating a great shopping experience, providing such beautiful plants and most of all, for allowing my 83 year old Mother to feel and see that she may be able to return to normal and enjoy her life once again! - Jill

‪#‎obsessed‬ with my new patio furniture from Pike in Toco Hills...working from home is gonna rock even more now that I can sit outside! And the two dudes who delivered it were exemplary...the table didn't initially fit outside, so they went back to the store, got a monkey wrench, took it apart...brought both pieces outside and reassembled. Love Pike...can't wait to find my next excuse to visit! - Sara via Facebook
