- Prune fruit trees prior to new growth starting.
- Don't forget your sweetheart, roses are always a favorite but blooming azaleas, hydrangeas and tulips are also beautiful.
- Apply first application of crabgrass preventer to control grassy weeds in all types of lawns.
- Fertilize Fescue for the first time with Atlanta Turf Special Lawn Fertilizer.
- Now is the time to prune Roses, Ornamental Grasses and other Deciduous Shrubs.
- Use Purge on Centipede lawns to kill existing weeds and to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
- Fertilize pansies with Super Bloom.
- Apply Green Light Wipe-Out to kill Wild Onions in your yard.
- During mild spells continue sowing hardy annuals such as larkspur and poppies.
- Apply lime and well-rotted manure as needed to vegetable beds.
- Set out cool season vegetable plants in late February.
- All trees can be pruned when dormant, if needed.
- Prune crape myrtles.
- Cut back liriope.
- Remember to feed the birds.
