  • Prune fruit trees prior to new growth starting.
  • Don't forget your sweetheart, roses are always a favorite but blooming azaleas, hydrangeas and tulips are also beautiful.
  • Apply first application of crabgrass preventer to control grassy weeds in all types of lawns.
  • Fertilize Fescue for the first time with Atlanta Turf Special Lawn Fertilizer.
  • Now is the time to prune Roses, Ornamental Grasses and other Deciduous Shrubs.
  • Use Purge on Centipede lawns to kill existing weeds and to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
  • Fertilize pansies with Super Bloom.
  • Apply Green Light Wipe-Out to kill Wild Onions in your yard.
  • During mild spells continue sowing hardy annuals such as larkspur and poppies.
  • Apply lime and well-rotted manure as needed to vegetable beds.
  • Set out cool season vegetable plants in late February.
  • All trees can be pruned when dormant, if needed.
  • Prune crape myrtles.
  • Cut back liriope.
  • Remember to feed the birds.
