FLAGSTONE is a flat stone used primarily as a walking surface. It also can be used as a vertical veneer.
FLAGSTONE COMES TWO WAYS:
1. Cut Pattern: The material is cut in 6" increments (for
example 12X12, 12X18, 18X18, 18X24, etc.) this square and rectangle is often
referred to as random ashlar pattern.
2. Irregular: The material is all sizes ranging from a
6" diameter to pallet size material.
Thickness of stone can vary from 1/2" for vertical application to
6" thick for driveways and steps.
THE BASIC TYPES OF FLAGSTONE WE CARRY ARE:
1. Crab Orchard: This comes in brown/tan, pink/tan and grey
color ranges. This material is available in pattern cut or irregular.
2. Desert material: This comes in tan (Desert Oak) pale
pink (Desert Rose), and Heavy Rose (Navaho Rose). This material is available
both pattern cut and irregular.
3. Sugar Hill: This comes in a light (brown/tan) and a dark
(brown/tan/black).
4. Pennsylvania (also known as bluestone): This comes in
green (green/brown/ blue) or lilac (Dusty Purple). This is available irregular
cut or in pattern. Also similar but available in pattern only is the New York
Bluestone.
5. Cherokee: This is a mica-bossed stone that is primarily
a blue/grey color. It is very sharp on the edges and resembles slate even
though it is not slate. It is available only in irregular.
6. Quartz: This is available in white, silver and golden colors. This is a very thin flagstone but it is very strong.
