Farm Greenhouse Associate

At Pike Farms we are focused on associates growing their career while working in all areas of our greenhouse. As a Greenhouse Associate you will be gaining an understanding with hands-on experience of various aspects of the greenhouse:

• Shipping
• Production
• Plant Maintenance

By learning and mastering these areas an individual can become well-rounded and skilled in greenhouse operations, contributing to the overall success of the facility. Once an associate completes their first 90 days of employment, they will be assigned a department.

• Prior Greenhouse experience is a Plus!

• Passion for working with plants / gardening

• Retail merchandising & stocking

• Ability to be on your feet and move throughout a greenhouse for the duration of your shift.
• Must have the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, bending, reaching, walking, pushing and pulling carts and handling and sorting of materials.
• Must be able to lift 5-10 lbs. repetitively.
• Must be able to tolerate hot and humid conditions in the greenhouse and various weather conditions outside.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions

• Requires extensive use of back, legs, knees, arms, feet and hands for lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching overhead, and walking.
• Unassisted lifting limits up to 50 lbs.
• Individuals may be required to do any or all of these situations throughout the work day, with an emphasis on walking and standing for a major portion of the day.
• The outside environment will comprise most of the day with some inside building activity.
