Summary Duties and
Responsibilities

To ensure that everything runs smoothly by coordinating with customers, providing precise logistics for drivers to follow along on their routes, and coordinating delivery times.

Education, Prior Work Experience, and Specialized Skills and Knowledge

· Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws

· Understanding of how shipping, trucking and logistics work

· Analytical skills to problem-solve and coordinate difficult situations

· Ability to handle upset customers

· Technology skills, particularly in transportation management software

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent communication skills to clearly relay information to all involved parties

· Ability to stay calm in fast-paced situations

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Managing truck drivers' schedules and routes

· Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered

· Providing shipping details to customers

· Reviewing logs of truck drivers

· Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries

· Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices

· Handling customer complaints and inquiries

· Negotiating rates and delivery time lines
Accept other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions

Requires extensive use of back, legs, knees, arms, feet and hands for lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching overhead, and walking.
Unassisted lifting limits up to 25 lbs.
Individuals may be required to do any or all of these situations throughout the work day, with an emphasis on walking and standing for a major portion of the day.
The outside environment will comprise most of the day with some inside building activity.
