Steps

Step 1: Choose your plant. An indoor plant will probably be best for this time of year We used echeveria, mint and a zygo cactus.

Step 2: Choose your pot and paint color. We recommend a terra-cotta pot - they're easier to paint than other, decorative pots. The color you paint your pot is endless! Keeping with the theme of Valentine's Day, however, we choose white and pink. After you've finished painting, be sure to let the paint dry completely. You don't want your letters smudging on wet paint.

Step 3: Choose your pun and stamp. This is where you can really get creative. If you're having trouble thinking of a pun, a quick Google or Pinterest search will show you several to work with. After you've stamped your pun on the pot, make sure to give it time to dry. If you've used real ink, this could take a bit longer than waiting for the paint to dry. You can also use letter stickers, if you're on a time crunch.

Step 4: Pot your plant. Simply take your plant from it previous container and place in your new pun pot. If there is extra space, fill in with potting soil or cactus mix (depending on the plant you've chosen) and water. To add a little extra décor, you can use decorative moss or rocks on top of the soil. Now, display for your loved one to see or use as decoration!
